Set in the famous US city during the roaring twenties, "Chicago" is a fast-paced, compelling story of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery and treachery. The story begins with the tale of sensational murderess Velma Kelly, the reigning queen of all the murderesses in the Chicago Cook County jail. She killed her husband after finding him doing the horizontal shuffle with her sister and is the star turn until murderess Roxie Hart appears on the scene.

With the help of Mama Morton, the Jailhouse Warden and Billy Flynn, a media-corrupting Lawyer, Roxie soon becomes the new sensation and on the front page of every newspaper in the land, much to Velma’s dismay. However the world of publicity and sensationalism is fickle, and soon Roxie finds herself losing the crowd…
