Want the chance to sing "All That Jazz"? Fancy getting jazzy to "The Cell Block Tango"? Then come along to the Introduction evening to find out about the characters, the story, the audition pieces, rehearsals, how you can get involved and much, much more.
Auditions are open to everyone over the age of 17, so come along and try out for one of the many dazzling roles available. Whether you’re already a member of HHTheatreCo or new to the company, you’ll be very welcome.
The standard casting is for 19 parts, (10 Female, 9 Male) - 5 principals, 14 members of strong dance chorus who sing and double parts.
Velma Kelly – good dancer, singer and actress.
Roxie Hart - good dancer, singer and actress, ideally should look younger than Velma.
Billy Flynn - dashing, handsome, good actor who sings and ideally dances. Should look older than Velma.
Mama Morton - Matron, character woman with strong singing voice.
Amos Hart – Character part, downtrodden sap, Roxie’s husband, sings.
Prison Murderesses: Liz, Annie, June, Hunyak, Mona – sexy murderesses, must dance and sing well.
Mary Sunshine - Newspaper columnist, prim and proper but always ready to see the good in everyone, sings.
Other parts are played by the ensemble.
